What is ISOO?
The Illini Summer Opportunity Organization is a student run-organization with the goal of giving every child in the Champaign and Urbana communities the opportunity to attend summer camp. The ISOO was founded in 2007 in response to the underprivileged population in the local community. Since that time, we have raised over $100,000 and sent hundreds of local kids to summer camp. The ISOO’s main charitable event; a Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament is held every October on the south quad of the U of I campus. In 2009, over 2000 participants registered for the event.

More recently, the ISOO holds a dodgeball tournament; where University of Illinois students play like kids, for the kids. The ISOO also presents a DJ with live music for participants and students to enjoy. With the support of local businesses, alumni, and students, the ISOO is changing the community…one child at a time.
